Is the free plan really unlimited?

Yes. Create and download as many single bills of lading as you like — Standard and VICS/GS1 modes, barcodes, signatures, and the print-ready PDF are all included. No account, no watermark, no page limits, no expiry. The free generator is DockBOL's front porch, and it stays free.

Do I need an account to create a BOL?

No. The generator runs entirely in your browser: your draft, address book, and presets are stored on your device and never uploaded. An account is only needed when you want cloud features like history, templates, and team sharing.

What happens to my local data if I create a workspace?

DockBOL offers to import your local address book, carriers, and templates into your new workspace, with a deduplication preview before anything is written. Your local copy is never deleted automatically — you can keep using the guest generator alongside your account.

How do I upgrade to Pro Dispatcher?

Create a free workspace (or sign in), pick monthly or yearly above, and check out securely — taxes and payment processing are handled for you. Pro features unlock across your workspace as soon as the payment completes, and you can manage or cancel the subscription anytime from Settings → Billing.

Can I cancel Pro Dispatcher?

Yes. Monthly and annual plans can be canceled anytime and stay active until the end of the paid period. Your documents, templates, and address book remain in your workspace — canceling degrades access safely, it never deletes your shipping records.

Is DockBOL certified by the DOT, VICS, or GS1?

No — and you should be skeptical of any tool that claims a PDF is “DOT approved.” DockBOL is standards-aware document-preparation software: VICS/GS1 mode implements the 17-digit shipment identifier math and GS1-128 (AI 402) barcodes, but you remain responsible for carrier, customer, and regulatory requirements on every document you tender.
